Acupuncture

Remedial Health and Wellness offers home visit acupuncture sessions. Acupuncture works primarily by increasing circulation and blood flow to certain areas of the body, which stimulates the bodies natural ability to heal. It is an effective way to treat a wide variety of medical conditions.

Cupping Therapy

Modalities

Cupping - Rather than applying pressure to muscles like a massage, cupping uses gentle pressure to pull them upward. The suction and negative pressure provided by cupping can loosen muscles, encourage blood flow, and sedate the nervous system. Generally, cupping is often combined with acupuncture in one treatment, but it can also be used alone.

Guasha - This is a natural, alternative therapy that involves scraping the skin with a massage tool to promote blood flow and circulation. Guasha is often combined with acupuncture in one treatment, but it can also be used alone.

Tuina - This is a therapeutic form of massage that stimulates blood flow to promote balance and harmony within the body using many of the same principles of acupuncture. Tuina is often used in combination with acupuncture.

Chinese Herbology

Chinese herbology is used to manage imbalances in the body. Herbology includes treatment with substances such as plants, roots, minerals and more. Like acupuncture, Chinese herbology has evolved as an integral part of Chinese medicine.

*Initial consultation with an Acupuncture Physician certified in Chinese Herbology is required for the use of herbal prescriptions under their professional recommendations.

Assisted Stretching

Remedial Health and Wellness offers 55 minutes of assisted, isolated stretching. Our certified stretch therapists follow methods to properly position, stabilize, isolate, and manipulate muscles in weak, tight, and imbalanced areas of the body.

By working with an experienced professional, assisted stretching can relieve stiffness and soreness, as well as reduce muscle and joint pain. Relief of tightened muscles in the body can improve posture, reduce the likelihood of injury, boost circulation, and lower overall stress.

Assisted stretching can increase range of motion, flexibility, and improve sport performance.

Corrective Exercise Training

Specialized and personalized training which allows individuals to perform activities of daily life with ease and reduce the likelihood of injuries. This type of training focuses on movement patterns that strengthens you in a particular way and teaches you how to move with the correct muscles.

This is the perfect choice if:

  • You want to improve your overall function, rather than decline, as you age

  • You want to start a fitness regime that focuses on posture, alignment and optimal muscle activation

  • You want to reduce the likelihood of the same injury occurring in the future
